Robyn Shanahan - Cornet

Joined the band 1965. Robyn has played Tenor Horn for 22 years and is now playing Solo Cornet. Robyn enjoys playing good music and also the social aspect of playing in the band. Outside the band Robyn works at the local council, plays with Nambucca District Band and enjoys the beach and raising poddy lambs.

Ken Peter - Tenor Horn

Ken joined the band in May 1962. He plays the Tenor Horn and enjoys performing for our community. Ken is proud to see everyone progressing playing a brass and percussion instruments and is a past president of the band. Apart from helping to keep our bands history going and behind the scene band requirements, Ken enjoys restoring 1960/1962 FB/EK Holdens and volunteers his time as Workshop Supervisor for the Armidale Lions Club Community Workshop

Dave Brown - Flugal Horn

Dave is the Armidale City Bands longest serving band director. Now retired from his duties, Dave performs with the band on Solo Cornet, Trombone and all other instrument if needed. Dave teaches many brass students in Armidale and in the New England region. Dave is a member of the Guyra golf course and is a keen fisherman.

Sue Vanderwolf - Cornet

Sue joined the Armidale City Band in 2000. She plays the Cornet in the band and enjoys making music with others and making use of her music ability. Outside the Band Sue works with many Charities and is a school bus driver and passionate music lover.

Cathleen Hislop - Cornet

Cathleen first joined the Armidale City Band in 2002. She plays the Cornet in the band and enjoys the music and the friendships she has made in the band . Outside the Band Cathleen works at as a Coles manager and supports her family.

Christine Davidson - Cornet

Christine joined the Armidale City Band in 2018. She plays the Cornet in the band and enjoys meeting other brass band players, enjoys learning new repertoire and playing in community events . Outside the Band Christine plays Viola in the Armidale Symphony Orchestra and has had many years experience in Music Administration.

Georgia Dennison- Euphonium

Georgia joined the Armidale City Band in 2000. She plays the Euphonium in the band and enjoys playing music with others . Outside the Band Georgia works in early childhood education.

Bethany Rohde - Tenor Horn

Bethany joined the Armidale City Band in 2014. She plays the Tenor Horn in the band and enjoys playing music with other band members. Outside the band, Bethany is a keen horse rider and an Occonor Catholic High Student.

Thomas Williams - Baritone

Thomas joined the Armidale City Band in 2014. He plays the BBb Tuba in the band and can remember every page number in the bands repertoire, such is his keen interest. Outside the band Thomas is and Armidale Secondary College Student.

Aziz Winrow - Tuba

Aziz joined the Armidale City Band in 2014. He plays the EEb Tuba in the band and has been the Band Sergeant. Outside the band Aziz is studying Chemistry at UNE.

Nicky Windeyer - Baritone

Nicky joined the Armidale City Band in 1980. She plays the Baritone in the band and is very welcoming and helpful to encourage new members to join the band and play along.

Robert Jackson - Bass Trombone

Robert joined the Armidale City Band in 2016. He plays the Trombone and Bass Trombone in the band and enjoys performing with the band in community events. Robert also teaches Cello at the New England Conservatorium and is a member of the Armidale Central Rotary Club.

Steve McPhee- Trombone

Steve joined the Armidale City Band in 2010. He plays the Trombone and is a dedicated member of the ensemble. Outside the band, Steve currently runs his own gardening and landscaping business.

Fumie Takahashi- Percussion

Fumie joined the Armidale City Band in 2017. Fumie plays in the Percussion section and helps tutor younger members of the ensemble. Outside the band, Fumie works as a Music Therapist at the New England Conservatorium.
